Above all a knowing deep in the bone that beauty and loss are one.

And it is always one’s stance upon uncertain ground that invites the attentions of one’s enemies. Or discourages it.

If they’d thought a bit more about biological evolution and spent less time cooking up nutty theories they might have uncovered a few simple truths.
