We’re not like robots. God promises to guide us through the Holy Spirit, but He gives us the freedom to make our own decisions.

The bigger house won’t make you feel complete; you will just have more square footage to clean. The newer model car won’t do it; you will just have bigger payments. The promotion at work is not the answer; you will just have more responsibility and probably be required to work longer hours.
Father, I thank You that I don’t have to carry guilt and shame around with me as I go through my life.
The love of God is what heals our wounded souls. It’s what gives us confidence. It’s what gives us courage. Knowing that we are loved perfectly by a perfect, powerful God changes us like nothing else.
We need to start seeing ourselves the way God sees us, because it’s such a healing thing to begin to like yourself instead of being against yourself.
