My new year’s resolution is definitely to quit smoking. I need to do it.

I think we need more women in positions of power across the world. I think a lot of the world’s problems could be solved if we allowed more contribution from women.
When I was still in One Direction, fans would write stories based on me and the other lads and publish them online, it’s crazy to think that we inspired so many different stories and the opportunity for so much creativity from so many people all over the world.
Women have been the most intelligent, peaceful and positive influences in my life, I don’t want to generalize too much, but definitely in my experience, I’ve found the whole macho world of male aggression and insecurity to be a lot more difficult to exist in.
Sometimes, you have to do what’s best for you, otherwise you’re no use to anyone. Nothing good would have come from dragging it out any longer.
One Direction was an incredible experience in its own right, and it’s a part of me, an integral part of my history, and I’m never going to deny that aspect of my life.
I felt sick. I couldn’t breathe. The idea of it totally freaked me out and I was paralyzed with anxiety. This overwhelming fear just kicked in out of nowhere, bringing with it a shitstorm of self-doubt.
The plan is to start performing smaller venues and work my way up from there, this anxiety isn’t going to get the better of me.
I didn’t feel like I had control over anything else in my life, but food was something I could control, so I did.
I think I’m very blessed to have been raised by so many intelligent and impressive women, and now continuing that on a professional level, having people like Sarah and Nadia to guide me through this new phase of my career, is extremely significant.
Before judging anyone, judge yourself.
You need both those approaches to shape your character: being supported and being challenged.
Just because you’re not perfect, doesn’t mean you’re not beautiful.
