I’m from a Gypsy background!
I try and make all my songs sound different from each other while doing it in a way that’s still me. It’s a tricky thing to do.
On that very first day, when I queued up, in the thousands, I never expected to get very far.
There are lots and lots of different films that I love, and watching different characters and how different people play them.
I don’t care about the charts; I just want to make great music that I enjoy performing on stage and I’m proud of.

I think it’s really important to do what you want to do because in the long-run it’s your career, you want everything to go well and you want to be happy with what you’re doing. It was really important for me to take control of my career.
Sometimes I just like to listen to unknown people, that can be really, really cool. I like going on blogs and stuff.
I like to experiment a lot, I just like to make myself look different to everyone else. Shopping at all different places from vintage to high-street, and then I just put it together myself.
When you see the mega-stars doing really, really well, it gives you hope that you could probably do that too.
I am a singer, not a full-on rapper.
I’m alright with who I am and I don’t feel that I need to be better...
I just want my songs to be memorable, and for people to hear my songs in ten year’s time and remember the great times they had while listening to ’em.
I’m able to reach a wider audience, an older audience. I can gladly say that I’m definitely not a bubblegum princess anymore.
I would hope to think my fans are full of attitude, are a bit vicious, and always fight for what they want. That’s exactly what I’m going to give them.
I need to not be scared of not having someone there to back me up. I just need to tackle things on my own. I feel like I have the power in me to make it work.
