Often people going into directing want to learn as much as they possibly can about “technique.” And I say the hell with that.

But you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain’t you. You’re better than that!
Halloween is the only time people can become what they want to be without getting fired.
