When you find yourself dwelling on something negative, consciously use your willpower to remove your mind from that which is negative. Move your mind into the flow of something positive.
When you are just thinking a lot of silly thoughts and having a lot of worries, you waste a tremendous energy and power and you put yourself into very limited states of mind. You slow down your evolutionary process.
Power either goes up or down. Your thoughts are the harness of power. It is necessary to think positive thoughts, not just wait for them to occur, but to introduce them.
If you hold a negative thought, then it will become more powerful and not only will it send bad energy to the person, but it will crash your consciousness. All the hard work of meditating is sabotaged.
If you are mindful in your work, if you put your best effort into it, then something comes back to you.
There is no fanaticism in any of this. There is intensity. You have to make it happen. You have to put your will into perfecting your daily life, into monitoring your thoughts.
Anything but enlightenment is pure pain; it is the lack of enlightenment.
We’re not really indigenous to this world, this world being a temporal plane of reality.
Our larger body is eternity. Eventually, we return to the source in its undifferentiated form, in its absolute form, which is both form and formlessness, but we exist in that sea all the time.
There are future lives. It is not necessary to cram everything into this lifetime. You can enjoy this lifetime, go with the flow, and know it will lead you to a better life in your next incarnation.
Buddhists understand that today and all other days have turned out the way they have because of karma. The interconnection of one moment with another moment, of one action with another action, is karma.
Good karma leads to rebirth also. The desire for higher states of mind is a desire. When you are fixated on higher states of mind, you don’t become enlightened.
The experience of the next life is too far away to really be concerned with. It will be an outgrowth of this incarnation and what happens between birth and death.
The universe is pretty cool. You always exist in one form or another. You are a wave and you are changing and moving from one level to another.
Enlightenment, meditation is really a shift in perception. It’s not a thing that you go and do or become, since you’re already that.
Enlightenment occurs when your mind merges with nirvana, with what Tibetans call the Dharmakaya, the clear light of reality, which is the highest plane of transcendental wisdom and perfect understanding.
Enlightenment simply means that you’ve gotten above the body-mind complex. You’ve refined the self, dissolved it in the white light of eternity and gone through all the gradient shifts.
When you are enlightened and have united your mind with the deepest and most ancient part of the mind of the universe, you are not affected by suffering the way other people are.
While I may not be able to describe to you exactly what enlightenment is like, I can tell you that it is wonderful beyond understanding. The experience of enlightenment frees your mind from painful and limited states of awareness.
Spiritual knowledge is the experience of enlightenment, and requires an understanding of the inner-most workings of the enlightenment cycle.
