Your existence is passing before you. Grains of sand in the hourglass. The Wicked Witch of the West has you in her castle and she’s turned the hourglass over and the sand is running through. Will you be liberated or will you die? The only way you can beat death is liberation.
You see, I’m a believer in the rhapsodic. I like things that are happy. For no particular reason, I just like them. Most people don’t seem to be like that in this particular place, in this world. You can tell by what they focus on. Read a newspaper, watch a TV show, go to a movie, look at a life.
Well, what is God, then? God is that which watches. God is neither masculine nor feminine, although God can assume any form. God is that eternal reality that is in everything.
You should be drawing awareness from a deeper part of your being. Your deeper mind has everything already. It knows everything already. It has all the answers.
The final result of all life is your awareness. Your awareness is existence.
To overcome stress you have to find out something. You’ve got to do some research and homework. You need to find out who you are today.
Life is an endless matrix of existence. And as you experience it in that pure form, that’s what we call enlightenment.
Life exists in countless forms in countless dimensions, in places that we simply cannot see. The essence of life – while it might not appear so when we watch television or watch our loved ones suffer – is good.
Once you are enlightened, you can do whatever you want without fear or sorrow. You can go snowboarding, get married, stay single, be rich and famous, or live unknown in a high Himalayan cave. It is up to you.
The spectrum that most people exist in this world is very mundane and very unhappy. Certainly human beings are capable of experiencing great joy and happiness.
The vast majority of the people who populate our planet live lives of quiet desperation that are all too often quite harsh and painful, lives in which events and circumstances usually don’t turn out the way they had hoped or planned.
Even the rich aren’t often happy. Their wealth is at best only a temporary distraction. It doesn’t make them immune to emotional and mental suffering, or to disease and death. They too must deal with loneliness, the deaths of loved ones and the frustrations and boredom of old age.
Fame does not make you happy. It just makes you look in the mirror a lot, worrying about how you look today for your audience.
Fulfillment of desire taken to extremes doesn’t necessarily make us happy. It tends to make us rather cynical.
If you live for a very long while, you will have to watch your friends and loved ones die, your body age and lose its beauty and vigor, and your mental capacities fade.
Time holds the final claim check for everything we gain or attain in this lifetime. All of our possessions, along with the people we love, are only loaned to us for a very short time by eternity.
Most successful people find out that the attainment of their goals doesn’t necessarily bring them the happiness and joy they assumed; their happiness is short-lived.
Even the lucky ones, who do manage to become happy by attaining their goals, live each day in fear of losing whatever it is they may have gained.
We see very few people who are satisfied. They say that the only ones who are really happy are the enlightened or the fools.
The world you experience, every day and night of your life, is transient. They only last for the blink of an eye, and then they dissolve back into that unknowable and formless eternity.
