I think it was in the Rose Garden where I issued this brilliant statement: If I had a magic wand – but the president doesn’t have a magic wand. You just can’t say, ‘low gas.’
The economy is growing, productivity is high, trade is up, people are working. It’s not as good as we’d like, but – and to the extent that we find weakness, we’ll move.
Throughout our history, the words of the Declaration have inspired immigrants from around the world to set sail to our shores. These immigrants have helped transform 13 small colonies into a great and growing nation of more than 300 people.

Our enemies believed America was weak and materialistic, that we would splinter in fear and selfishness. They were as wrong as they are evil.
Our enemies send other people’s children on missions of suicide and murder. They embrace tyranny and death as a cause and a creed. We stand for a different choice – made long ago, on the day of our founding. We affirm it again today. We choose freedom and the dignity of every life.
There needs to be debates, like we’re going through. There needs to be townhall meetings. There needs to be travel. This is a huge country.
I would have said yes to abortion if only it was right. I mean, yeah it’s right. Well no it’s not right that’s why I said no to it.
The fundamental question is: ‘Will I be a successful president when it comes to foreign policy?’ I will be, but until I’m the president, it’s going to be hard for me to verify that I think I’ll be more effective.
All who live in tyranny and hopelessness can know: The United States will not ignore your oppression, or excuse your oppressors. When you stand for your liberty, we will stand with you.
