I can’t imagine what it would be to be president when the United States at war with yourself. People killing each other here in America on a massive basis. Just can’t imagine what it would be.
My job is to, like, think beyond the immediate.
Coalition forces have encountered serious violence in some areas of Iraq. Our military commanders report that this violence is being insticated by three groups.
I mean, if you’ve ever been a governor of a state, you understand the vast potential of broadband technology, you understand how hard it is to make sure that physics, for example, is taught in every classroom in the state. It’s difficult to do. It’s, like, cost-prohibitive.
As you know, we don’t have relationships with Iran. I mean, that’s – ever since the late ’70s, we have no contacts with them, and we’ve totally sanctioned them. In other words, there’s no sanctions – you can’t – we’re out of sanctions.
Like you, I have been disgraced about what I’ve seen on TV that took place in prison.
Obviously, I pray every day there’s less casualty.
And I encourage you all to go shopping more.
No matter how advanced our economy might be, no matter how sophisticated our equipment becomes, for the foreseeable future we will still depend on fossil fuels.
We are getting more and more imports from abroad.
In the corporate world, sometimes things aren’t exactly black and white when it comes to accounting procedures.
There may be some tough times here in America. But this country has gone through tough times before, and we’re going to do it again.
I think the fundamentals of the economy are finally in the electronic economy and they are strong are we have reason for great optimism.
You’re free. And freedom is beautiful. And, you know, it’ll take time to restore chaos and order – order out of chaos. But we will.
The greatest source of America’s generosity is not our government; it’s the good heart of the American people.
