I’m in a band. I don’t go to church every Sunday. I love punk rock music. Sometimes I use swear words a lot. I respect and admire gay men and women. I’m obsessed with horror films. I know what shame feels like. And guess what old man? Jesus is still my Savior.
If there’s a future, we want it now.
If you ever think about giving up, remember why you held on for so long.
I don’t care if the world or anyone in it tries to drag me down. Because I know that in the end, they will be the ones left tired from the struggle to hold me back.
Sometimes it takes a good fall to really know where you stand.
Believe in your dreams even when they seem lost.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is, ‘It’s okay.’ It’s okay for me to be kind to myself. It’s okay to be wrong. It’s okay to get mad. It’s okay to be flawed. It’s okay to be happy. It’s okay to move on.
Whether I’m being influenced by new music that I’m listening to, books I’ve read, my friends, or my faith, I’m learning all the time.
I believe music is a place everyone of us can go to. I don’t care who you are, where you were born, what you do with your life. Everyone can come here in music and be equal.
