Jesus taught that your highest priority must be your relationship with Him. If anything detracts you from that relationship, that activity is not from God. God will not ask you to do something that hinders your relationship with Christ.
You cannot stay where you are and go with God. You cannot continue doing things your way and accomplish God’s purpose in His ways. Your thinking cannot come close to God’s thoughts. For you to do the will of God, you must adjust your life to Him, His purposes, and His ways.
The reality is that the Lord never calls the qualified; He qualifies the called.
How you live your life is a testimony of what you believe about God.
Our difficulty is not that we don’t know God’s will. Our discomfort comes from the fact that we do know His will, but we do not want to do it.
Prayer is designed to adjust you to God’s will, not to adjust God to your will.

To be loved by God is the highest relationship, the highest achievement, and the highest position in life.
We don’t choose what we will do for God; He invites us to join Him where He wants to involve us.
God doesn’t want people to do what they think is best: he wants them to do what he knows is best, and no amount of reasoning and intellectualizing will discover that.
Wouldn’t it be a tragedy to get to the top of the ladder and find you placed it against the wrong wall?
Prayerless leaders are like ship captains without compasses; they can make their best guess at which direction to go, but they have no assurance they are heading the right way. Prayer keeps leaders focused on the one absolutely consistent factor in life – God.
