Goodness, generosity, or love does not come into being save through the search for reality.
Mere isolation in an enclosing idea is not a release from conflict.
You want to be loved because you do not love; but the moment you love, it is finished, you are no longer inquiring whether or not somebody loves you.
Relationship between human beings is based on the image-forming, defensive mechanism. In our relationships each of us builds an image about the other, and these two images have relationship, not the human beings themselves...
To be is to be related.
The idea, the pattern, is self-projected; it is a form of self-worship, of self-perpetuation, and hence gratifying.
