In order to seize the day, make goals and go after them with all your heart.
Because God is with you, that makes you greater than any problem you have.
Peace is our inheritance from Jesus, but we have to choose to follow Him daily. Colossians 3:15 teaches us that peace is to be the “umpire” in our lives, settling every issue that needs a decision. To gain and maintain peace in our hearts, we may have to learn to say no to a few things.
When we do what we can do, God steps in and does what we can’t.
God can give us words of comfort or direction, and we can be very excited, filled with faith, feeling bold and able to conquer the enemy.
He did not send the power of His Spirit into our lives so we could be weak-willed, wimpy, or the type of person who gives up when the going gets tough.
I would like to suggest that you take responsibility for your joy and never again give anyone else the job of keeping you happy. You can control what you do, but you cannot control what other people do. So you may be unhappy a lot of the time if you depend on them as your source of joy. The psalmist David said that he encouraged himself in the Lord, and if he can do it, then we can do it too.
Perhaps you need to look up and around instead of back and down. Lift your eyes and see the amazing future which bursts with hope for you in God! Don’t spend your life mourning over what you have lost and what is already gone; take an inventory of what you have left and keep going, one foot in front of the other, one step of faith at a time. Remember, God is on your side!
Fear is not God’s will for you.
The only way to develop a heart of flesh is to spend time with God.
Begin to weave and God will provide the thread.
Common people with uncommon goals who make an uncommon commitment can help an uncommon number of people who can also lead other common people to do uncommon things. Develop your potential to the full. And as you do, lead others in developing theirs. Be all you can be. Then help someone else be all they can be.
Philippians 4:13 does not say we can do anything we want to do because we are strong enough, smart enough, or hardworking enough. No, in fact, it leaves no room at all for human effort or striving of any kind. The secret to being able to do what we need to do is realizing that we cannot do it alone; we can only do it in Christ.
We are the only ones who can make decisions for ourselves about how we will handle the situations that arise in our lives. Life is not likely to get any easier, but our approach to life can change and that will make it easier.
Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. PROVERBS 3:5.
Remain steadfast in your belief, and you will be delivered.
Your mess can become your ministry if you will have a positive attitude and decide to let everything you go through prepare you for what is ahead.
We often bow down to our feelings without realizing how fickle and unreliable they are.
Power Thought: I trust I will see everything come to pass in my life that God has promised in His Word.
Love Yourself Today: Remember, God always loves your “who,” even when your “do” could use some improvement!
