We need to proclaim the Gospel on every street corner, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing, even with our preaching, every kind of disease and wound.
Violence and war lead only to death...
I have heard it said that families with many children and high birth rates are among the cause of poverty. It seems to me a simplistic opinion. I can say that the main cause of poverty is an economic system that has removed the person from the center.
Listen to Jesus and follow him. That’s the message of the Transfiguration.
Let us not be satisfied with a mediocre life.
We can walk when we want to, we can build many things, but if we do not witness to Jesus Christ then it doesn’t matter. We might become a philanthropic NGO but we wouldn’t be the Church, the Bride of the Lord.

Human trafficking is a crime against humanity. We must unite our efforts to free victims and stop this crime that’s become ever more aggressive, that threatens not just individuals, but the foundational values of society.
Today, we need a Church capable of walking at people’s side, of doing more than simply listening to them; a Church which accompanies them on their journey...
The life of Jesus is a life for others. It is a life of service.
Whenever we encounter another person in love, we learn something new about God.
The parish is the presence of the Church in any given territory, an environment for hearing God’s word, for growth in Christian life, for dialogue, proclamation, charitable outreach, worship and celebration.
Total openness to serving others is our hallmark, it alone is our title of honor!
We ask ourselves and each of us may wonder: Does the Lord feel truly at home in my life? Do we allow him to do a ‘cleansing’ in our hearts and to drive out the idols, those attitudes of greed, jealousy, worldliness, envy and hatred, that habit of gossiping and tearing down others?
Profound peace, spiritual consolation, love of God and love of all things in God – this is the sign that you are on this right path.
We could also say that there is only one real kind of poverty: not living as children of God and brothers and sisters of Christ.
Please do not lose the ability to dream.
My people are poor and I am one of them.
