Embracing the idea that you can want things for yourself even if nobody else understands the whys behind them is the most freeing and powerful feeling in the world.
A goal is a dream with it’s work boots on.
Childhood trauma is not a life sentence.
Our society makes plenty of room for complacency or laziness; we’re rarely surrounded by accountability.
Nothing that lasts is accomplished quickly. Nobody’s entire legacy is based on a single moment, but rather the collection of one’s experiences. If you’re lucky, your legacy will be a lifetime in the making.
I recognized a great truth: if I wanted a better life than the one I’d been born into, it was up to me to create it.
Creating is the greatest expression of reverence I can think of because I recognize that the desire to make something is a gift from God. The freedom to carve out the time and have a safe place to create that art is a blessing of the highest level in a world where so many people are unable to have either. Every time I indulge in the art of creation without worrying about what the public will think of it is craft in its purest form – and craft can be any old thing at all. For me it’s writing.
Because the world needs your spark. The world needs your energy. The world needs you to show up for your life and take hold of your potential! We need your ideas. We need your love and care. We need your passion. We need your business models. We need to celebrate your successes. We need to watch you rise back up after your failures. We need to see your courage. We need to hear your what if. We need you to stop apologizing for being who you are and become who you were meant to be.

You cannot keep living in the excuses of something that happened fifteen or twenty years ago. Because, seriously, how is that working for you?
No doesn’t mean that you stop; it simply means that you change course in order to make it to your destination.
Stop waiting for someday; someday is a myth. Don’t wait to have the time; start planning to make the time.
Friends, personal growth is supposed to be personal. It’s not one size fits all. It has to be customized to you and the way you learn best, or it’s never going to stick. Be strict about your goal but flexible in how you get there.
Nobody gets to tell you how big your dreams can be.
It happens when you stop asking permission to be yourself.
You are enough. Today. As you are. Stop beating yourself up for being on the beginning side of yet, no matter what age you are. Yet is your potential. Yet is a promise. Yet is what keeps you moving forward. Yet is a gift, and you are enough to get to the other side of it.
You can survive losing a piece of your heart without losing the core of who you are.
Don’t tell me you don’t have it in you to want something more for your life. Don’t tell me you have to give up because it’s difficult. This is life or death too. This is the difference between living a life you always dreamed of or sitting alongside the death of the person you were meant to become.
You become who you surround yourself with. You become what you consume. If you find yourself in a slump or feel as though you’re living in a negative space, take a good hard look at who and what you see every day.
