When you come to church, when you worship Him, you’re not doing it for God really. You’re doing it for yourself, because that’s what makes God happy. Amen?
It’s good to find common ground with people. When you find common ground and you see things from other people’s perspective, you can have a voice in their lives, you can have an influence.
You get up every day and you just give it over to God. And something may come against you because of the unforgiveness. But you recognize that. And you say I’m not going to hold this unforgiveness. It’s something that you have to do all the time.
We should celebrate Christmas throughout the year, but I believe the whole concept of giving was the basis of Christmas, that it was a charitable, you know, giving, and I think we got carried away with giving.
I believe that God wants us to show respect.
Get in the habit of speaking positive, faith-filled words over your life, because a healthy self-image is one of the greatest assets you can have. It will not only cause you to rise higher, but it will inspire others around you to live at their best.
All through the day, there are two voices that compete for your attention – the voice of faith and the voice of defeat. Tune into the voice of faith because it is the voice of victory!
The way you live your life matters! Think about when you toss a stone into a pond and it sends ripples across the water – in a similar manner your life “ripples out” and has influence on those around you.
Work hard, stay disciplined and be patient. Your time will come.
It’s so important that we set the tone for the day. We have to resist the temptation to start off worried, thinking about what’s wrong and all we have to accomplish. Start the day in faith, casting your worries on the Lord, trusting that He’s guiding and directing your steps.
When we are aware of God’s beauty in the world around us, and when we take time to enjoy simple pleasures that brighten our day, we experience a joy and delight that feeds our soul. We add value to our day and enrich our life.
We all go through waiting times that can be very difficult. We need to develop our patience, knowing that at the right time, God is going to get us to where we need to be as well as give us what we need.
If your mind can be trained to complain, then your mind can be trained to find the best. When we learn to look for what is good, it brings strength and encouragement to our hearts. It can bring peace and joy even in difficult situations.
Today, I want to encourage you to remember the good things God has done in your life. Too often, we let the negative things from our past dominate our thinking when we should remember what is beneficial and what is good.
If you are facing something in your life, find an encouraging Scripture to meditate on and give thanks for God’s faithfulness. As you pray the promises of God, you will feel faith rise up inside of you, and you’ll gain strength that will bring peace to your heart.
Take off the negative labels and let go of what people have said to you. Quit beating yourself up for things you can’t change. God wants you to move forward in faith, believing that you are chosen, exceptional, and well able to do what He has called you to do.
It’s good to have dreams and goals. We should be stretching our faith. But while we’re waiting for promises to come to pass, we shouldn’t be discontent where we are. The right attitude is, “God, I’m believing for this, but I’m also happy with what I have.
God is more interested in growing and maturing us than just meeting a need. Embrace the growing process because He is doing a work in you.
Scripture says in Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Don’t let fear become part of your identity. Don’t let discouragement define you.
Today really is a gift, and we have to see it that way. Maybe you’re not where you’d like to be in life, but look how far you’ve already come. God is doing big things in you and through you, and He has more in store.
