You can’t run in more than one direction at a time. And you will only run in the direction you are facing. So if your heart is facing anything other than Allah, it isn’t Him you’re running towards.
Sometimes we make duaa for a door of dunya. When it doesn’t open, we cry. Not realizing that Allah has instead opened a door of jennah for us.
Break in the hands of God, He’ll unbreak you. Break in the hands of people, you’ll remain forever broken. Break to no one, your heart will remain hard.
If you want this life to stop breaking your heart, stop giving your heart to this life.
Just as storms change the landscape of the earth, our hardships change the landscape of the heart.
Before anything can break your heart, it must first own your heart. Stop handing your heart to dunya-it’ll stop breaking it.
Don’t get attached to moments. Good or bad, they all pass.
Leaving the people and places you love, is a reminder of the impermanence of this life. And the permanence of the next.
My laughter won’t last forever but neither will my tears. We say this life isn’t perfect. And it isn’t. It isn’t perfectly good. But, it also isn’t perfectly bad, either.
Like Musa you too will be saved from the Sea. Just look through it and see Him. Then the illusion will crumble and you’ll be left with the only Reality: Him.
Never curse a fall. The ground is where humility lives.
When you’re in trouble don’t depend on yourself. Don’t depend on people. Depend on God.
Everything we do is motivated by love. Even fear and hate are born of love. So be careful what you love.
If you wonder how you’ll get through this new heartbreak, just think back. Remember all you’ve been through in the past. And how each time you swore, you’d never get through it. But you did. And look where you’re at now. This too shall pass!
Many of us rely on our own illusion of control. But when God makes it known to you that you’re not the one steering the ship, be thankful. He has removed the illusion, and forced you to rely only on Him.
The one who knows himself isn’t deceived by either praise or criticism.
Know that transformation sometimes begins with a fall. So never curse the fall. The ground is where humility lives. Take it. Learn it. Breathe it in. And then come back stronger, humbler and more aware of your need for Him. Come back having seen your own nothingness and His greatness.
Its shocking how many people believe hardships are a punishment from God! Every hardship is good for you-if it brings you closer to Him!
Loss; is the returning of what never actually belonged to us in the first place.
Keep praying, even if you have only a whisper left.
