The world is in a constant conspiracy against the brave. It’s the age-old struggle: the roar of the crowd on the one side, and the voice of your conscience on the other.
When you take risks you learn that there will be times when you succeed and there will be times when you fail, and both are equally important.
And the trouble is, if you don’t risk anything, you risk even more.
But God doesn’t call us to be comfortable. He calls us to trust Him so completely that we are unafraid to put ourselves in situations where we will be in trouble if He doesn’t come through.
Above all, try something.
Power is given only to those who dare to lower themselves and pick it up. Only one thing matters, one thing; to be able to dare!
The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want and if they can’t find them, make them.
In case of doubt, attack.
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.
