I love Australia. First of all, everyone is so nice. The people are down to Earth, and they like having fun with you.
My taste in music originates from my culture and heritage, and from traveling the world and listening to all kinds of fun sounds and bits.
My Daddy was my hero. He was always there for me when I needed him. He listened to me and taught me so many things. But most of all he was fun.
If I would get an album out every eight months and if I would write songs that were more up-tempo and try to focus more on making singles, then I could probably get more attention. But I don’t think the albums would be very fun to listen to, and it would be a drag for me.
Singing is something that I’m always happy to do it and going in the studio I never felt any pressure. I just feel like I get to sing, you know. It’s fun.
I don’t think it’s any fun, even if you are one of the most respected authors in the world like Margaret Atwood, to keep being nominated and not win.
Having breast cancer is massive amounts of no fun. First they mutilate you; then they poison you; then they burn you. I have been on blind dates better than that.
When I was seven, I said, “I want to act.” When I was 10, I realized that films exist, and I wanted to be in them. Not a comedian, I wanted to be a dramatic actor. Films just seemed such fun, and like such a great thing to do.
Cable cars are fun – everyone gets on board and becomes a rhesus monkey.
Do good. Inspire. Set an example to yourself and others. Have faith. Make your actions loud. Have fun. Be nice. Love strong.
One afternoon when I was 9, my dad told me I’d be skipping school the next day. Then we drove 12 hours from Melbourne to Sydney for the Centenary Test, a once-in-a-lifetime commemorative cricket match. It was great fun – especially for a kid who was a massive sports fan.
I’m definitely drawn to things that are new, so something specifically for me would have been fun.
My description of fun would be to sit on someone’s couch and watch TV. Regular cable TV. When I’m in a hotel, on-demand is the same. I watch the TV in another language, trying to figure out what they’re saying.
I know they are all environmentalists. I heard a lot of my speeches recycled.
If girls were going after me, I would not only admit it, but I would probably exaggerate about the swarming masses. I can flirt and have fun, but at the end of the day, I’m not Tom Cruise. Girls are not falling all over me.
The most we can hope for is to create the best possible conditions for success, then let go of the outcome. The ride is a lot more fun that way.
All movies aren’t fun; some are hard work. You try to do something and convey a set of emotions that have to do with some real life kind of stuff.
All I could think of when I got a look at the place from the outside was what fun it would be to stand out there and watch it burn down.
When I travel, I draw and paint sketches which is great fun. And as long as you are fully aware that it has nothing to do with actual art, I think that’s all right.
Of course, I do occasionally arouse primeval instincts, but I mean, most men can do that. They can’t do it to so many. I just happen to be able to do it to several thousand people. It’s fun to do that.
