But a lie is a lie, and in itself intrinsically evil, whether it be told with good or bad intents.
You build trust with others each time you choose integrity over image, truth over convenience, or honor over personal gain.
Integrity is important in building relationships and is the foundation upon which many other qualities for success, such as respect, dignity, and trust, are built.
Never lie; never cheat; never steal. Don’t whine; don’t complain; don’t make excuses.
Honor your commitments with integrity.
Do right. Do your best. Treat others as you want to be treated.
I follow three rules: Do the right thing, do the best you can, and always show people you care.
Be truthful, gentle, and fearless.
If someone can prove me wrong and show me my mistake in any thought or action, I shall gladly change. I seek the truth, which never harmed anyone: the harm is to persist in one’s own self-deception and ignorance.
Be content to seem what you really are.
Never value anything as profitable to thyself which shall compel thee to break thy promise, to lose thy self-respect, to hate any man, to suspect, to curse, to act the hypocrite, to desire anything which needs walls and curtains.
Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.
A bright future beckons. The onus is on us, through hard work, honesty and integrity, to reach for the stars.
Sincerity means that the appearance and the reality are exactly the same.
If you want to be successful, you must respect one rule. Never lie to yourself.
It’s more important to do the right thing than to do things right.
A lie doesn’t become truth, wrong doesn’t become right and evil doesn’t become good, just because it’s accepted by a majority.
Be as you wish to seem.
Are you not ashamed of your eagerness to possess as much wealth, reputation, and honors as possible, while you do not care for nor give thought to wisdom or truth, or the best possible state of your soul?
Exercise integrity in the moment of truth.
