Without our sufferings, we would never appreciate God’s great rescues. We would never really learn to trust Him instead of ourselves. So while suffering hurts, it’s not meaningless.
Venting is a poor substitute for prayer.
We are a people saturated with analysis, explanations, and facts but devoid of wonder. Maybe it’s time we rediscovered the wonder of God. All it takes is a renewed awareness of His presence.
In this stillness, God exposes our desire for self-sufficiency and reminds us that His love for us is based on who we are and not what we do.
