How my emotions starred as I played! During one of this tug-of-war contest between knowing right and doing wrong, I wrote the words to a song on my own for the first time.
There’s not a single fear, thought, feeling or need that’s too big or too small for Jesus. He wants you to tell Him what’s on your heart.

When God is leading and directing, you don’t have to kick the doors open.
When you’re reading the Word of God, you need to let it soak in and let God speak to your heart and let the Holy Spirit work.

If you stay in the word of God then you’ll get a fresh leading of new things to share. I share my testimony of what God has done, but there’s certain things that when I slip into the Word and let God speak to me through His Word and it’s a fresh thing for me to share.
I don’t Twitter every day. I just think we should be more thoughtful with what we share. I don’t care that you’re turning a light on right now. That’s great and all, but there’s got to be a balance there.
I know that I’ve been given more than beyond measure. I come alive when I see beyond my fears. I know that I’ve been given more than earthly treasure. I come alive when I’ve broken down and given you control.
In the morning when I rise give me Jesus.
I went straight from high school to Bible college for two years. Then I started doing music right out of Bible college full time. I did independent stuff for three years.
Music is not my life. Christ is my life.
I’m not sure what the Lord has in store for my future, but I can say for certain that music is not my life. Christ is my life. I love writing, singing, and playing songs that He gives me to share, but whatever He has for me in five or ten years, I want to be willing to step into it. I never want to hold so tightly to my vocation that I lose out on His higher plan.
I felt myself becoming angry too easily. I once saw a couple at a restaurant, and I could tell from their mannerisms that they were having some type of disagreement. I got mad at the guy and wanted to tell him, “Come on – appreciate your wife!
I struggled with insecurity because I was trying to find my security in things. But when I began serving God with all my heart, my security was in Him.
I ate so many Ramen noodles that I wouldn’t even touch a package of them now.
Joy comes from having a relationship with the unchanging God and transcends any trial we can face on this earth.
She chose to look at her surroundings where they “think missionary” mind-set.
Life is hard, but God is good.
