I had to learn to see my shadow and hold my pain in its fullness with acceptance and forgiveness so that I could release the hate I felt for myself and quit hurling it blindly toward others.

And that’s a mighty beautiful thing.

With each day that passes, it becomes more and more clear that the most true way to make it through this life is with the deepest possible commitment to compassion and a relentless dedication to love.
