Jesus came the first time to become our Savior, and He’s coming the second time to be our King.
Although there is validity, I believe, in leaving a church where the leadership consistently presents false doctrine, I also see people who are offended by one remark from the pulpit or one perceived hurt flit to the next church to look for fault there. It’s like the cartoon I saw of a skeleton dressed in women’s clothes and sitting on a park bench; the caption read, ‘Waiting for the perfect man.’ There is no perfect church either.

3. It takes calmness and courage. Notice that Daniel never panicked or overreacted in the face of opposition. Amid life-threatening situations, he remained poised and peaceful. He practiced Psalm 46:10: “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations.” We can remain calm when we have the deep, supernatural peace of knowing that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
According to the Bible, the antidote to materialism is generosity.
The whole world will marvel at how God brings down a powerful enemy while preserving His people.
Worship is the corridor through which we make the exchange of heaven. It is the avenue that leads us from the emptiness of this world to the fullness of the next world. It is the street that leads from decay and discouragement to renewal and glory. When we fail to worship, therefore, we confine ourselves to the despair of this life.
We worship the Lord. We simply love, adore, and praise God’s name – no matter what’s going on around us. We know He will march with us to the farthest corners of the earth and to the end of the age.
