Because the problem is, you can’t shut off one emotion without shutting off all your emotions. You have to feel the pain if you’re going to feel the joy. It’s just the way it works. I’ve found that people say what suits them in the moment. Doesn’t always mean it can be counted on.

As confusing as our situation is, inside it feels like it all makes perfect sense.
