Love is who we are, and when we deviate from that love we’re deviating from our ultimate, essential, eternal reality.
Forgiveness is a full time job, and sometimes very difficult. Few of us always succeed, yet making the effort is our most noble calling. It is the world’s only real chance to begin again. A radical forgiveness is a complete letting go of the past, in any personal relationship, as well as in any collective drama.
Your human self might be in hell right now, but your divine self is literally untouched by your suffering. And your divine self is who you are.

Examining the past can help clarify many of our problems, but healing doesn’t occur in the past. It occurs in the present. When we choose to love, or to allow our minds to be one with God, then life is peaceful. When we turn away from love, the pain sets in. And whether we love, or close our hearts to love, is a mental choice we make, every moment of every day.
What we mentally refuse to permit others, we refuse ourselves. What we bless in others, we draw to us.
Dear God, Please free me from false appetites and take away my pain. Take from me my addicted self, and show me who I am. Unchain my heart so I might live a freer life at last. Amen.

Excitement doesn’t knock at your door any less when you’re older than when you’re younger. It’s just that when you’re younger, you’re more likely to open the door and let it in.
