There will be no peace in the world until there is peace in our hearts.

What the ego doesn’t want us to see is that our pain doesn’t come from the love we weren’t given in the past, but from the love we ourselves aren’t giving in the present.
The universe provides us with a clean slate in every moment; God’s creation holds nothing against us.

When we choose to love, or to allow our minds to be one with God, then life is peaceful. When we turn away from love, the pain sets in. And whether we love, or close our hearts to love, is a mental choice we make, every moment of every day.
What we mentally refuse to permit others, we refuse ourselves. What we bless in others, we draw to us.

Excitement doesn’t knock at your door any less when you’re older than when you’re younger. It’s just that when you’re younger, you’re more likely to open the door and let it in. With age, you start growing ambivalent about excitement. You might say that you want it, but at the same time you’re not sure you have the energy for it.
