The spiritual path – is simply the journey of living our lives. Everyone is on a spiritual path; most people just don’t know it.
Your human self might be in hell right now, but your divine self is literally untouched by your suffering. And your divine self is who you are.
It’s unbelievable how tenaciously we cling to what we’ve prayed to be released from.
We heal through noticing, and prayer.
Examining the past can help clarify many of our problems, but healing doesn’t occur in the past. It occurs in the present. There is practically a mania these days for blaming the events of our childhood for our current despair. What the ego doesn’t want us to see is that our pain doesn’t come from the love we weren’t given in the past, but from the love we ourselves aren’t giving in the present.
The universe provides us with a clean slate in every moment; God’s creation holds nothing against us.
The other person doesn’t have to consciously join you in the change. ‘Whoever is saner at the time,’ says A Course in Miracles, ‘is to invite the Holy Spirit into a situation.’ It doesn’t matter whether or not another person shares our willingness to let God enter. Everything you need in life already exists inside your head.
Knowing who you are and why you came here – that you are a child of God, and that you came here to heal and be healed – is more important than knowing what you want to do. What you want to do is not the important question. The question to ask is, “When I do anything, how should I do it”? And the answer is, “Kindly.
When we choose to love, or to allow our minds to be one with God, then life is peaceful. When we turn away from love, the pain sets in. And whether we love, or close our hearts to love, is a mental choice we make, every moment of every day.
What we mentally refuse to permit others, we refuse ourselves. What we bless in others, we draw to us.
Dear God, Please free me from false appetites and take away my pain. Take from me my addicted self, and show me who I am. Unchain my heart so I might live a freer life at last. Amen.

Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.” What that means is this: Love is real. It’s an eternal creation and nothing can destroy it. Anything that isn’t love is an illusion. Remember this, and you’ll be at.
Most women I know are priestesses and healers, although many don’t know it yet, and some never will. We are all of us sisters of a mysterious order.
Rage turned outward is called rage. Rage turned inward is called ulcers and cancer and things like that. The unhealthiest thing you can do with anger is to deny you have it.
To the extent that we project responsibility for a dysfunction outside ourselves, we cannot change it. Wherever the wound came from, however many years ago, its healing lies not in the past but in the present. Your subconscious will continue to trigger the wound for along as it takes- a iffy years old experiencing a five year olds pain- until you allow it to be healed.

More women cry, loudly or silently, every fraction of every moment, in every town of every country, than anyone – man or woman – realizes. We cry for our children, our lovers, our parents, and ourselves. We cry in shame because we feel no right to cry, and we cry in peace because we feel it’s time we did cry. We cry in moans and we cry in great yelps. We cry for the world. Yet we think we cry alone.
The purpose of life as a woman is to ascend to the throne and rule with heart.
Excitement doesn’t knock at your door any less when you’re older than when you’re younger. It’s just that when you’re younger, you’re more likely to open the door and let it in. With age, you start growing ambivalent about excitement. You might say that you want it, but at the same time you’re not sure you have the energy for it. Yet a surefire way to diminish your energy is to deny the Ultimate energy pill, which is participation in life itself.
The goal of spiritual practice is full recovery, and the only thing you need to recover from is a fractured sense of self. If you don’t already believe it yourself, another person cannot convince you you’re okay.
