I’ve seen people where it rules their lives, you know, who want to be thinner or have bigger boobs, and how it wears them down. And I just don’t want that in my life.
It his mind, they reminded him of ‘Tweedle Dee’ and ‘Tweedle Dum’, with an extra emphasise placed on the ‘Dum’!
Bloody biology curses women every time.
The time for empathy is when a child wants you to know how he feels.
1. Start by acknowledging the children’s anger towards each other. That alone should help calm them. 2. Listen to each child’s side with respect. 3. Show appreciation for the difficulty of the problem. 4. Express faith in their ability to work out a mutually agreeable solution. 5. Leave the room.
Insisting upon good feelings between the children led to bad feelings. Acknowledging bad feelings between the children led to good feelings.
A grieving process alongside career change is perfectly normal. The key is to accepting resistance and anticipating it instead of trying to avoid or demonise it. Resistance is a natural part of any transition.

For me, it has been a comfort to drift back to that interview and try to accept that, no matter what the situation, there are people who will simply never take responsibility. It’s never their problem. But if I’m not careful, it becomes my problem. I blame myself. In.
Love every child without condition, listen with an open heart, get to know who they are, what they love, and follow more often than you lead.
Maybe, it was incredulity that two people could go through something together but still see it so differently.
I think that’s the hardest lesson I have had to learn as a parent; no matter how much I try, I am not able to guarantee my sons’ happiness and success.
Even with millions you can’t control time.
She’s all science-y, which is cool, especially for a girl. It should not matter. But it does. Cuz we’re not living in the future yet and people really do stereotype.
When they’re tempted, conflicted, or confused, they’ll know where to turn for guidance. When the unwholesome voices in the pop culture call to them, they’ll have another voice inside their heads – yours – with your values, your love, your faith in them.
Imagine, living like that. Not having to hold your breath every time the checkout girl rings up your groceries, not having the shame that comes when you have to put something back. Not having to worry. “That sounds real nice,” I said.
But I came to realize that none of us leave this life unscathed. Each of us experiences loss, grief, and disappointment. In fact, sometimes our most painful moments and trying times turn out to be the opportunities that bring us more fully to ourselves.
Knowledge is power, she had argued. And conversely, the withholding of knowledge is an act of oppression.
Mrs V and Winky did not see eye-to-eye, and that had nothing to do with his deficiency in the ocular department. She wasn’t really a ‘cat person’.
We’re gonna have a lifetime of toe-curling nights.
