Being is central, and Being is now. The fulfillment of your life is not going to happen through anything. The outer activities in your life are secondary. What is Primary is Being.
Each person’s life – each lifeform, in fact – represents a world, a unique way in which the universe experiences itself.
I believe that Jesus realized his oneness with God and he showed, what he attempted to do was show the way to all of us, how to realize our own onenes with God also, so he’s a precursor.
The outer purpose belongs to the horizontal dimension of space and time; the inner purpose concerns a deepening of your Being in the vertical dimension of the timeless Now.
God is beyond all the forms of life, but also indwells every form of life as their essence. God is both beyond and within.
So do not be concerned with the fruit of your action-just give attention to the action itself. The fruit will come of its own accord.
The ego wants to want more than it wants to have.
There is a fine balance between honoring the past and losing yourself in it. For example, you can acknowledge and learn from mistakes you made, and then move on and refocus on the now. It is called forgiving yourself.
Being is not only beyond but also deep within every form as its innermost invisible and indestructible essence. This means that it is accessible to you now as your own deepest self, your true nature.
Compassion is the awareness of a deep bond between yourself and all creatures.
When your attention moves into the Now, there is an alertness. It is as if you were waking up from a dream, the dream of thought, the dream of past and future. Such clarity, such simplicity. No room for problem-making. Just this moment as it is.
The next step in human evolution is to transcend thought. This is now our urgent task. It doesn’t mean not to think anymore, but simply not to be completely identified with thought, possessed by thought.
Stillness is the only thing in this world that has no form. But then, it is not really a thing, and it is not of this world.
Be aware of your breathing as often as you are able, whenever you remember. Do that for one year, and it will be powerfully transformative. And it’s free.
Whenever you are immersed in compulsive thinking, you are avoiding what is. You don’t want to be where you are. Here, Now.
Enlightenment means choosing to dwell in a state of presence rather than in time. It means saying yes to what is.
Ask yourself: Is there joy, ease, and lightness in what I’m doing? If there isn’t, then time is covering up the present moment, and life is perceived as a burden or a struggle.
True change happens within, not without. Find the Now within. Everybody you come in contact with will be touched by your presence and affected by the peace that you emanate, whether they are conscious of it or not.
If you live only in one culture for the first 20 years of your life, you become conditioned without knowing it.
We are a species that has lost its way. Everything natural, every flower or tree, and every animal have important lessons to teach us if we would only stop, look, and listen.
