It’s so hard to forget pain, but it’s even harder to remember sweetness. We have no scar to show for happiness. We learn so little from peace.
What is to give light must endure burning.
Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place.
Be patient and tough; someday this pain will be useful to you.
Love is so short, forgetting is so long.
Suffering only shows where you are attached. That is why, to those on the path, suffering is grace.
No one knows my Struggle, they only see the Trouble. Not knowing it’s hard to carry on when, No one loves you.
The sadness will last forever.
After the rain, the sun will reappear. There is life. After the pain, the joy will still be here.
When the pain overtakes you, reach inside. Gather the broken pieces, and hand them to God. Ask Him to remake your heart. Different, this time. Stronger. More beautiful. This is how we are made, and remade by the Maker.
Face your fears, endure their pain, and they will be re-written in the form of pride and dreams.
The most painful state of being is remembering the future, particularly the one you’ll never have.
Later that night, I held an atlas on my lap, ran my fingers across the whole world, and whispered, ‘where does it hurt?’ It answered, everywhere, everywhere, everywhere.
Pain is temporary. Eventually it will subside. If I quit, however, the surrender stays with me.
Smile, though your heart is aching. Smile, even though it’s breaking. When there are clouds in the sky, you’ll get by if you smile through your pain and sorrow. Smile and maybe tomorrow, you’ll see the sun come shining through for you.
You can’t be afraid of people willing to hurt you, cause if you fear life, then you will never live.
Never run back to what broke you.
There are two pains in life. There is the pain of discipline and the pain of disappointment. If you can handle the pain of discipline, then you’ll never have to deal with the pain of disappointment.
Not why the addiction, but why the pain.
If you don’t like something, don’t do it. But don’t forget this: NO PAIN, NO GAIN.
