Our congregations should be welcoming to everyone, affirming the good of the various cultures expressed in one’s community, and seeking to implement those cultural distinctions in our church services.
Only Jesus is able to bear the weight of the center. Your Blackness cannot. Your Whiteness cannot. Your American-ness cannot. Your “Whatever-ness” cannot.
You may have lost your way temporarily, but do not lose sight of what matters most on your journey back to happiness.
