You are the sky. Everything else – it’s just the weather.
This very moment is the perfect teacher, and, lucky for us, it’s with us wherever we go.
Impermanence is a principle of harmony. When we don’t struggle against it, we are in harmony with reality.

Remember, the entrance door to the sanctuary is inside you.
Oh soul, you worry too much. You have seen your own strength. You have seen your own beauty. You have seen your golden wings. Of anything less, why do you worry? You are in truth the soul, of the soul, of the soul.
I looked in temples churches and mosques. But I found the Divine within my heart.
What comes, will go. What is found, will be lost again. But what you are is beyond coming and going and beyond description.
Today, like every other day, we wake up empty and frightened. Don’t open the door to the study and begin reading. Take down the dulcimer. Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.
Our real journey in life is interior; it is a matter of growth, deepening, and of an ever greater surrender to the creative action of love and grace in our hearts. Never was it more necessary to respond to that action.
Real contentment must come from within. You and I cannot change or control the world around us, but we can change and control the world within us.
The mind is the source of all experience, and by changing the direction of the mind, we can change the quality of everything we experience.
In your own bosom you bear your heaven and earth, And all you behold, though it appears without, It is within, in your imagination, Of which this world of mortality is but a shadow.
