I’m twelve years old. I run into a synagogue. I ask the rabbi the meaning of life. He tells me the meaning of life but he tells it to me in Hebrew. I don’t understand Hebrew. Then he wants to charge me $600 for Hebrew lessons.
Life is short. Short, and not about anything except what you can touch and what touches you.
I’ve realized that being happy is a choice.

Your life is too important to give it to distractions.
Lasting happiness comes from steadily working to accomplish your goals and advancing in the direction of your life’s purpose.
Be slow to criticize. And fast to appreciate.
Being scared is part of being alive. Accept it. Walk through it.
Begin to live each day as if it was your last.
He who binds to himself a joy Does the winged life destroy; But he who kisses the joy as it flies Lives in eternity’s sun rise.
Let life be beautiful like summer flowers and death like autumn leaves.
You are invited to the festival of this world and your life is blessed.
And because I love this life, I know I shall love death as well.
The one who plants trees, knowing that he will never sit in their shade, has at least started to understand the meaning of life.
No man is more unhappy than he who never faces adversity. For he is not permitted to prove himself.
