Spend each day getting a little wiser than you were when you woke up. Discharge your duties faithfully and well. Step by step you get ahead, but not necessarily in fast spurts. But you build discipline by preparing for fast spurts. Slug it out one inch at a time, day by day. At the end of the day – if you live long enough – most people get what they deserve.

Once you push yourself into something new, and whole new world of opportunities opens up. But you might get hurt. In fact you will get hurt. I hate that word – “lucky.” It cheapens a lot of hard work. Living in Brooklyn in an apartment without any heat and paying for dinner at the bodega with dimes – I don’t think I felt myself lucky back then. Doing plays for 50 bucks and trying to be true to myself as an artist and turning down commercials where they wanted a leprechaun. Saying I was lucky negates the hard work I put in and spits on that guy who’s freezing his ass off back in Brooklyn. So I won’t say I’m lucky. I’m fortunate enough to find or attract very talented people. For some reason I found them, and they found me.

Here’s to the future, because I’m done with the past.
When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionably.
Great work requires great and persistent effort for a long time. Character has to be established through a thousand stumbles.
Nothing stays forever. Good as well as bad times go away. Be happy.
The purpose of yoga is to put a smile on your face in spite of all the stress, tension, or situations that you are put through in your day-to-day life.
I don’t think of work as work and play as play. It’s all living.
Right now I'm just delighted to be alive and to have had a nice long bath.
My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.
If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.
Change your thoughts and you change your world.
